Before Use
Positioning the Machine
Place the machine on a flat surface, and then open the front cover.
- Leave space of about 11 13/16" (30 cm).
Make sure that the entire front cover fits fully on the flat surface and that there is enough space behind the machine for the material or mat to be fed backward and forward. For installation precautions, refer to the Product Safety Guide.
Removing Packing Materials
Before turning on the machine, remove all shipping tape and the cardboard shock-absorbing material.

- If the packing materials were removed after the machine was turned on, turn the machine off, then on again. Continuing to use the machine without restarting it may result in incorrect operation.
- Save the box and all packing materials in case you need to transport or ship the machine in the future.
