Set up Groups for Broadcasting

A Group, which can be stored in the Address Book, allows you to send the same fax message to many fax numbers.

MFC-T810W

First, you must store each fax number in the Address Book. Then you can include them as numbers in the Group. Each Group uses up a Speed Dial number. You can store up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 39 numbers to a large Group.

  1. Press image (Address Book).
  2. Press image to select [Speed Dial].
  3. Press image to select [Edit AddressBook].
  4. Press image or image to select [Setup Groups]. Press OK.
  5. Do the following steps using the dial pad:
    1. Enter the two-digit Speed Dial number you want to assign to the Group. Press OK.
    2. Enter a Group number (1 to 6). Press OK.
    3. To add other Speed Dial numbers to a Group:

      For example, to add Speed Dial numbers #05 and #09.

      Press image (Address Book), 0, 5, image (Address Book), 0, 9. Press OK.

    4. Enter a name (up to 16 characters) for the Group. Press OK.
  6. Press Stop/Exit.

MFC-T910DW

First, you must store each fax number in the Address Book. Then you can include them as numbers in the Group. Each Group uses up a Speed Dial number. You can store up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 39 numbers to a large Group.

  1. Press image (Address Book).
  2. Press image or image to select the following:
    1. Select [Setup Groups]. Press OK.
    2. Select the two-digit Speed Dial number you want to assign to the Group. Press OK.
    3. Select [Name], and enter the new Group's name (up to 16 characters) using the dial pad. Press OK.
    4. To add numbers to the Group, repeat the following steps:
      1. Select [Add/Delete]. Press OK.
      2. Select [Alphabetical Order] or [Numerical Order]. Press OK.
      3. Press image or image to select a number from the list.
      4. Press image or image to select the check box labelled with the Speed Dial number. Press OK.
  3. Select [OK] and then press OK.
  4. Press Stop/Exit.
