Send a Fax from Your Brother Machine

NOTE
This feature is available only for black and white faxes.
  1. Load your document in the ADF or place it on the scanner glass.
  2. Press image (FAX).
  3. Enter the fax number in one of the following ways:
    • Dial Pad (Enter the fax number manually.)

      Press all digits of the number using the dial pad.

    • Outgoing call (Select a number from the Outgoing Call history.)
      1. Press Remarcar/Pausa (Redial/Pause) on the control panel.
      2. Press image or image to select [Outgoing Call]. Press OK.
      3. Select the number you want, and then press OK.
    • Caller ID (Select a number from the Caller ID history.)
      1. Press Remarcar/Pausa (Redial/Pause) on the control panel.
      2. Press image or image to select [Caller ID]. Press OK.
      3. Select the number you want, and then press OK.
    • [Address Book] (Select a number from the Address Book.)
      1. Select image ([Address Book]) on the control panel.
      2. Press OK.

        • To search a speed dial number, press image. Enter the two-digit number you want using the dial pad, and then press OK.
        • To search alphabetically, enter the first letter of the name using the dial pad, and then press OK. Press image or image to select the name, and then press OK.
      3. Press image, image, image or image to select the number you want. Press OK.
  4. To change the fax settings, press Opciones (Options), image or image to select the setting you want to change, and then press OK.
    When finished, press Borrar/Atrás (Clear/Back).
  5. Press Inicio Negro (Black Start)
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If you are using the ADF, the machine starts scanning and sending the document.
    • If you are using the scanner glass, the machine starts scanning the first page.

      Go to the next step.

  7. When the LCD displays [Next Page?], do one of the following:
    • Press image to scan another page. Place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press OK. The machine starts scanning the page.

      Repeat this step for each additional page.

    • Press image to send the fax when finished scanning pages. The machine starts sending the document.

MFC-T910DW

NOTE
This feature is available only for black and white faxes.
  1. Load your document in the ADF or place it on the scanner glass.
  2. Press image (FAX).
    The LCD displays:

  3. Enter the fax number in one of the following ways:
    • Dial Pad (Enter the fax number manually.)

      Press all digits of the number using the dial pad.

    • Redial (Redial the last number you dialed.)

      Press Remarcar/Pausa (Redial/Pause).

    • Outgoing call (Select a number from the Outgoing Call history.)

      Press image or image to select the following:

      1. Select [Call History]. Press OK.
      2. Select [Outgoing Call]. Press OK.
      3. Select the number you want, and then press OK.
      4. Press image to select [Apply].
    • Caller ID (Select a number from the Caller ID history.)

      Press image or image to select the following:

      1. Select [Call History]. Press OK.
      2. Select [Caller ID History]. Press OK.
      3. Select the number you want, and then press OK.
      4. Press image to select [Apply].
    • [Address Book] (Select a number from the Address Book.)

      Press image or image to select the following:

      1. Select [Address Book]. Press OK.
      2. Select [Search]. Press OK.
      3. Do one of the following:
        • Enter the two-digit Speed Dial number using the dial pad.
        • Select a number from the list in the following ways:
          1. Select [Alphabetical Order] or [Numerical Order]. Press OK.
          2. Select the number you want. Press OK.
          3. Press image to select [Apply].
  4. To change the fax settings, press image or image to select the setting you want to change, and then press OK.
  5. When finished, press Inicio Negro (Black Start).
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If you are using the ADF, the machine starts scanning and sending the document.
    • If you are using the scanner glass and pressed Inicio Negro (Black Start), the machine starts scanning the first page.

      Go to the next step.

  7. When the LCD displays [Next page?], do one of the following:
    • Press image to scan another page. Place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press image. The machine starts scanning the page.

      Repeat this step for each additional page.

    • Press image to send the fax when finished scanning pages. The machine starts sending the document.
