Copy on Both Sides of the Paper (2-sided Copy)

Reduce the amount of paper you use by copying onto both sides of the paper.
  • You must choose a 2-sided copy layout from the following options before you can start 2-sided copying.
  • The layout of your original document determines which 2-sided copy layout you should choose.
  • When you manually make 2 sided copies from a 2-sided document, use the scanner glass.
  • Select A4 sized paper when using the 2‑sided copy option.

  1. Load your document.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • For MFC models

      Press image (COPY).

      Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want.

    • For DCP models

      Press image or image to enter the number of copies you want.

  3. Press Options or Copy/Scan Options.
  4. Press image or image to select [2-sided], and then press OK.
  5. You can press the option you want, according to the menus and options on LCD.
  6. When finished, press OK.
  7. Press image or image to display [2sided → 2sided] or [1sided → 2sided], and then press OK.
    NOTE

    For DCP-B7500D/DCP-B7520DW/DCP-B7530DN/DCP-B7535DW/MFC-B7700D/MFC-B7720DN

    If you select [2sided → 2sided], you cannot use the ADF. Use the scanner glass.

  8. Press Start.
    If you placed the document in the ADF, the machine scans the pages and starts printing.
    If you are using the scanner glass, go to the next step.
  9. Repeat the following steps for each page of the layout:
    • For MFC models

      After the machine scans the page, place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press image to scan the page.

    • For DCP models

      After the machine scans the page, place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press image to select the [Yes] option.

  10. Press image to select the [No] option.
