The machine uses individual Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta ink tanks that are separate from the print head assembly.

Starter ink bottles are in the box. The first time you fill the ink tank the machine will use extra ink to fill the ink delivery tubes. This is a one-time process that enables high quality printing. Actual yield of initial bottles may be lower than the replacement bottles, due to ink system initialization.
