Connect the Printer to a Computer Using Wi-Fi
Using a Wi-Fi Router/Access Point (Infrastructure Mode)
Before You Begin
First, configure the printer's Wi-Fi settings to communicate with your Wi-Fi router/access point. After the printer is configured, the computers and mobile devices on your network will have access to the printer.
- Before connecting the printer to your network, contact your system administrator to confirm your Wi-Fi network settings.
To reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings, or if the status of the printer's Wi-Fi connection is unknown, reset the printer's Wi-Fi settings.

- For best results with everyday printing, put the printer as close to the Wi-Fi router/access point as possible with minimal obstructions. Large objects and walls between the two devices and interference from other electronic devices can affect the transfer speed of print data.
- Write down your Wi-Fi router/access point's SSID (Network Name) and Password (Network Key).
- On the printer, press Menu, and then press
or
to select the following:
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [WLAN (On/Off)]. Press OK.
- Select [On]. Press OK.
- Configure the printer's Infrastructure Mode settings:On the printer, press the Menu, and then press
or
to select the following:
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [Network Mode]. Press OK.
- Select [Infrastructure Mode]. Press OK.
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [Infra Manual Setup]. Press OK, and follow the on-screen instructions.
When the connection between the printer and your Wi-Fi router/access point is established, the
(Wi-Fi) icon appears on the printer's LCD. Computers and mobile devices that are on the same network as the printer now have access to the printer.
Without Using a Wi-Fi Router/Access Point (Wireless Direct)
- Confirm the printer's Wireless Direct settings:On the printer, press Menu, and then press
or
to select the following:
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [Network Mode]. Press OK.
- Select [Direct Mode]. Press OK.The Wireless Direct icon,
or
appears on the LCD.
- On the printer, press Menu, and then press
or
to select the following:
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [WLAN (On/Off)]. Press OK.
- Select [On]. Press OK.
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [WLAN Status]. Press OK.
- Select [Direct Mode]. Press OK.The Printer's SSID and the password appear on the LCD.
- Use your computer or mobile device to select the printer's SSID and enter the password, if required.
SSID: DIRECT-(serial number's last 5 digits)_TD-2350###
The serial number is located on the bottom of the printer or in the printer.
Password: ********
Where ******** is the eight digits Wireless Direct Password indicated on the label on the bottom of the printer as "WDP".
- NOTE

- The Printer Setting Tool also allows you to apply the network settings to multiple printers.
- You cannot connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi while using Wireless Direct. To use the Internet, connect using a Wi-Fi router/access point (Infrastructure Mode).
- We recommend setting a new Wireless Direct password using the Printer Setting Tool to protect your printer from unauthorized access.
Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup™)
- Confirm that your Wi-Fi router/access point features the WPS symbol.
- Place the printer within range of your Wi-Fi router/access point.The range may differ depending on your environment. See the instructions provided with your Wi-Fi router/access point.
- Press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router/access point.
- On the printer, press Menu, and then press
or
to select the following:
- Select [WLAN]. Press OK.
- Select [WPS Button Push] or [WPS PIN Code]. Press OK.
- If the Selection Menu appears, select [Start].
- Press OK.
When a connection is established, the WLAN icon appears on the printer's LCD. Computers and mobile devices that are on the same network as the printer will have access to the printer.

- The printer will try to connect using WPS for two minutes. If you press OK during that time, the printer will continue trying to connect for an additional two minutes.
- If your computer or mobile device supports the PIN authentication method, select [WPS PIN Code] for better security.
