How to Use b-PAC

Before Starting Development

To create a label printing program using b-PAC, it is necessary that a computer used for development is installed with the following.

  • b-PAC SDK
  • An outputting printer driver
  • Development environment
  • P-touch Editor (for creation and correction of label template files)

Re-deploying a program to client computer

To have a created program re-deployed to a client computer, the client computer needs to be installed with the following.

  • b-PAC component
  • An outputting printer driver

Label template files are also needed. (They can be stored and used from a file-sharing server.)
Please be aware that "b-PAC SDK" itself cannot be re-deployed.
For details of re-deployment method, please refer to the b-PAC SDK documents.

How to Create a Program

Program creation procedures

The following shows basic creation procedures. Here, a fixed asset management label is created as an example.

  1. 1. Install a printer driver of the label printer.
  2. 2. Download and install b-PAC.

  3. 3. Create a template file (label layout file) with P-touch Editor.
  4. 4. Create an application. (The following are the examples of programs created using b-PAC SDK Ver.3.0 except for Visio Plugin.)
