If you are having difficulty reading the Brother machine's LCD, you can adjust its contrast and brightness by following these procedures:

Procedure 1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
Procedure 2: Changing the Backlight Brightness setting

Procedure1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For Touchscreen models" below.  

1. Press Menu.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup. Press OK.
   
   
3. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose LCD Settings. Press OK.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose LCD Contrast. Press OK.
   
   
5. Press the LEFT ARROW key to increase the contrast or press RIGHT ARROW key to decrease the contrast. Press OK.
   
   
6. Press Stop/Exit.

3. Press General Setup.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Settings.

1. Press Menu.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup. Press OK.
   
   
3. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose LCD Settings. Press OK.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Backlight. Press OK.
   
   
5. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Light, Med or Dark. Press OK.
   
   
6. Press Stop/Exit.

9. Press Light, Med or Dark.
   
   
10. Press Stop/Exit.
