LCD messages

The message on the LCD shows the current printer status during normal operation.

The four Bsymbol.squf marks (also Bsymbol.squ, Bsymbol.squ=blinking Bsymbol.squf) indicate the Black (K), Yellow (Y), Magenta (M), Cyan (C) toner cartridges from left to right.
The Bsymbol.squf marks indicate the status of the toner in the toner cartridges. When the Bsymbol.squf mark blinks (Bsymbol.squ), the indicated toner is nearly empty. When toner becomes empty, the Bsymbol.squf indicator disappears completely.
The Graphic mark indicates the wireless signal strength with four levels. ( Graphic means no signal, Graphic means weak, Graphic means middle, and Graphic means strong.) (HL-4070CDW only)
When an error has occurred, the type of error is displayed on the first line of the LCD message as shown below.
The message on the second line shows information for clearing the error.

Printer status messages

The following table shows the printer status messages during normal operation:
Printer Status Message
Meaning
Cooling Down
The printer is cooling down.
Job Cancel
Canceling the job.
Ignore Data
Printer is ignoring data processed using the PS driver.
Pause
The printer has suspended its operations. Press Go to start the printer again.
Please Wait
The printer is warming up.
The printer is carrying out the calibration process.
Printing
Printing.
Ready
Ready to print.
Sleep
In Sleep state.
