Entering text

When setting certain menu selections, such as the Station ID, you will need to type text characters. The dial pad keys have letters printed on them. The keys: 0, # and Bsymbol.tone do not have printed letters because they are used for special characters.
Press the appropriate dial pad key the number of times shown in this reference table to access the character you want.

Inserting spaces
To enter a space in a fax number, press Bsymbol.rtri once between numbers. To enter a space in a name, press Bsymbol.rtri twice between characters.
Making corrections
If you entered a letter incorrectly and want to change it, press Bsymbol.ltri to move the cursor to the incorrect character, and then press Clear/Back.
Repeating letters
To enter a character on the same key as the previous character, press Bsymbol.rtri to move the cursor right before pressing the key again.
Special characters and symbols
Press Bsymbol.tone, # or 0, then press Bsymbol.ltri or Bsymbol.rtri to move the cursor to the symbol or character you want. Press OK to choose it. The symbols and characters below will appear depending on your menu selection.

Conversion and Enter Characters
You can register your name in Chinese or English in this machine, you can switch between the alphabet input mode and the Chinese-entry mode by pressing Bsymbol.utri button, the current input mode will appear in the lower right corner of LCD. Simplified Chinese can be converted from Pinyin entry.
For example, if you want to enter “Good 公司”, follow the below procedures:

Make sure you are in the alphabet input mode.
Screen will appear in the lower right corner.
Press [Graphic] repeatedly until showing G, and press Bsymbol.rtri.
By pressing the correct button repeatedly, you can access the character you want,
and press Bsymbol.rtri.
If you need to enter a letter that is NOT on the same button as the letter before it, you needn't press Bsymbol.rtri, just press the correct button.

Press Bsymbol.utri to enter the Chinese-entry mode.
Graphic will appear in the lower right corner.
Press [Graphic] one time until showing Pinyin g, and press Bsymbol.rtri, the cursor move to the next.
By pressing the correct button repeatedly, you can access the Pinyin you want.
In actual operation of entering Pinyin, some Chinese words and phrases appear in the lower part of LCD, then press Bsymbol.dtri, the cursor come to this lower part.

Press Bsymbol.utri, Bsymbol.dtri, Bsymbol.ltri or Bsymbol.rtri to move the cursor to choose “公司” which you exactly want.
Press OK to complete.
During the above operation, you can press Graphic to erase the character above the cursor.
