Copy an ID Card

Use the [2in1(ID)] feature to copy both sides of an identification card onto one page, keeping the original card size.

  • Make sure the paper size is set to Letter or A4.

  1. Place your identification card face down near the upper-left corner of the scanner glass.
    2 in 1 ID (Vertical) 2 in 1 ID (Horizontal)

    1. 0.12 in. (3 mm) or greater (top, left)
    2. 5.4 in. (137 mm)
    3. 2 in 1 ID (Vertical): 8.4 in. (213 mm)

      2 in 1 ID (Horizontal): 4.1 in. (105 mm)

    4. Scannable area
  2. Press image or image to select the number of copies.
  3. Press Copy / Scan Options and image or image to select [Layout(2in1 ID)]. Press OK.
  4. Press image or image to select [2in1 ID Vert.] or [2in1 ID Horiz.]. Press OK.
  5. Press Black Start or Color Start.
    The machine starts scanning one side of the identification card.
  6. After the machine has scanned the first side, turn over the identification card and press image to scan the other side.

  1. Place your identification card face down near the upper-left corner of the scanner glass.

  2. (MFC-T930DW/MFC-T935DW/MFC-T980DW) Press image (Copy).
  3. (MFC-T930DW/MFC-T935DW/MFC-T980DW) Enter the number of copies using the dial pad.
  4. (MFC-T780DW) Press - or + on the control panel to enter the number of copies.
  5. Press image or image to select the following:
    1. Select [Page Layout]. Press OK.
    2. Select [2in1 ID Vertical] or [2in1 ID Horizontal]. Press OK.
  6. Press Black Start or Color Start.
    The machine starts scanning one side of the identification card.
  7. After the machine has scanned the first side, turn over the identification card and press image to scan the other side.
