Add Shortcuts

Use the Shortcuts feature to create shortcuts for frequently used operations, such as Scan to USB, Scan to Email Server, Scan to Network, and Scan to FTP/SFTP.

These instructions describe how to add a Scan to USB Shortcut. The steps for adding other 'Scan to' shortcuts are the same.

Before you add a shortcut for Scan to FTP/SFTP, Scan to Network, or Scan to SharePoint, make sure your network administrator adds your profile name and permissions in Web Based Management.

  1. Press the [Basic 2], [Custom 1], [Custom 2], [Custom 3], [Custom 4], or [Custom 5] tab in the Home screen, and then press image.
  2. Press image or image to display [to USB].
  3. Press [to USB].
  4. Press [Options].
  5. Press image or image to display the available options for the setting, and then press the option you want.
    If necessary, repeat these steps to add additional options.
  6. Press [Save as Shortcut].
  7. Press [OK].
  8. Enter a name for the shortcut. Press [OK].

    If you want to make this a One Touch Shortcut, follow the LCD instructions.
  9. Press [OK].
