Scan Business Cards

Start the ControlCenter application.

Click the Graphic (ControlCenter4) icon in the task tray and then select Open from the menu.
The ControlCenter4 window will appear.
Note Note
You can also start ControlCenter4 by double-clicking the Graphic (ControlCenter4) icon in the task tray.

Click the Device Settings tab (the example below uses Home Mode).

Click the Graphic (ControlCenter2) icon in the menu bar and then select Open.
The ControlCenter2 window will appear.
Note Note
If the Graphic (ControlCenter2) icon is not displayed in the menu bar, double-click the ControlCenter icon.
The ControlCenter icon is in Macintosh HD/Applications/Brother.
The Graphic (ControlCenter2) icon will appear in the menu bar.

Click the DEVICE SETTINGS tab.

Click the Remote Setup button. The Remote Setup window will appear.
Note Note
You can also start Remote Setup by following the instructions below:
Windows®
Click Start, All Programs, Brother, ADS-XXXX, and then Remote Setup.
Macintosh
Double-click the RemoteSetup icon located in Macintosh HD/Applications/Brother.

Select Scan to USB in the folder tree.

Select Business Card from the Document Size drop-down list.
Note Note
Select Off from the Auto Deskew drop-down list if the Document Size drop-down list is greyed out.

Change other settings if needed (see Change Scan Settings).

Press Scan to USB on the control panel. The machine starts scanning.
Note Note
Certain kinds of business cards and thick paper might be detected as being multi-fed by the Multifeed detector, even though they were fed correctly. In this case, set Multifeed Detection to Off.
