Configuring the Printer Settings Using Web Based Management (Web Browser)

A standard web browser can be used to change your print server settings using the HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol).
Important Important
The default password is located on the back of the machine and marked "Pwd".
We recommend immediately changing the default password to protect your machine from unauthorized access. You can also print the default password by pressing and holding the Feed & Cut button for several seconds.
1
Type “http://printer_ip_address/” into your browser's address bar. (Where “printer_ip_address” is your machine's IP address or the print server name.) For example, if the printer’s IP address is 192.168.1.2., type: http://192.168.1.2/.
2
If required, type the password in the Login field.
3
Click Graphic.
4
Click the Network tab.
5
Modify your machine's settings, if necessary.
Note Note
If you edited the Hosts file on your computer or are using a Domain Name System, you can also enter the print server's DNS name. The print server supports TCP/IP and NetBIOS, so you can also enter the print server's NetBIOS name. To find the NetBIOS name, click the Network tab and then select Network Status. The NetBIOS name assigned is the first 15 characters of the node name and appears as "BRWxxxxxxxxxxxx" (where "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is the ethernet address).
Note Note
