Do not use paint thinner, benzene, alcohol or any other organic solvent. These may deform or damage the case of your Label Printer.

Clean the Print Head

Streaks or poor quality characters on printed labels generally indicate that the Print Head is dirty.

  • Clean the Print Head using a cotton swab or the optional Print Head Cleaning Cassette (TZe-CL4).

    • Do not touch the Print Head directly with your bare hands.
    • Read and follow the instructions provided with the Print Head Cleaning Cassette.

Clean the Tape Cutter

Tape adhesive can build up on the cutter blade after repeated use, taking the edge off the blade, which may result in the tape jamming in the cutter.

  • About once a year, wipe the cutter blade using a cotton swab moistened with Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
