The Settings tables describe the menu selections and options.

Some settings may differ depending on the firmware (printer software) version.

[WLAN] (RJ-3255WB/RJ-4255WB)

Classic & LE / Classic / Low Energy
Select the Bluetooth mode.
AutoReconnect

Switch to Automatic Reconnection mode (only for Apple devices: iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch).
Clear History
Delete the information for auto re-paired devices registered in the printer.
Confirm Code
On / Off
Select whether to perform confirmation during Bluetooth pairing.
Security Mode
Standard Mode / Secure Mode
Select the security mode for Bluetooth connection.
BT Address
Display the Bluetooth address.
Print Barcode
Print the Bluetooth address and corresponding barcode.

Select the paper size and paper type or check the current paper size setting.

The list contains:

  • Default media (Nine types. Default: 3.0" x 1.7" (76 mm x 44 mm))

  • User-defined media (Ten types)
  • Auto-detected media
  • Media settings obtained using the Auto Detect function.
Auto Detect

Automatically adjust the sensor sensitivity and detect the length of the set paper. Specify Settings in advance.

Configure the settings before performing Auto Detect.
Width
Select the paper width to be auto-detected.
Sensor Type
Select the sensor type: Die-cut, Mark, or Continuous.
Sensor Calibr
Enable or disable sensor calibration during auto-detection.
Media Timeout
Set the auto-detected paper to Continuous if Auto Detect does not find any gap or black mark according to the Media Timeout length.
Energy Rank
Select the energy rank to adjust the print density.

Set the contrast of the LCD. The higher the number, the stronger the contrast.

Enable or disable the beeper.

Charging settings
Configuration
Check the firmware version, font version, and available memory.
Tear Bar
Upward / Downward
Adjust the tear position.

This setting appears when the Linerless is set to Off in the Advanced tab of the BRConfiguration Tool.

Cover Setting *1
Select Media

Shows the Select Media screen for ten seconds after you close the Roll Compartment Cover.

Feed
Feeds the label automatically when you close the Roll Compartment Cover.
Auto Detect

Performs Auto Detect automatically when you close the Roll Compartment Cover. The printer displays the detected paper size, and then displays the Ready screen.

None
No action and no change on the LCD.
Clock
On / Off
Show or hide the clock icon on the LCD.
AutoSync Time
On / Off
This setting appears when Clock is set to On.
Time Zone
Set the time zone. This setting appears when Clock is set to On.
Date&Time
Display the date and time.

This setting appears when Clock is set to On.

Select the checkboxes for any options you want to prevent changes from the printer's LCD.

After selecting the checkboxes, press the Menu / image (Select) button to select Finish, and then press the image (Feed) / OK button to complete the settings.

If the Menu Locks are set, the selected options would not be displayed on the LCD.
