Print on both sides of a page. (2-sided/Duplex)


Duplex (1 in 1)
You can make a double-sided copy from a single-sided original by following these steps:
  1. Press the Copy key to illuminate it in green.

  2. Place the original(s) face up in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) or face down on the scanner glass.

  3. Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want (up to 99).

  4. Press the Duplex/N in 1 key, then use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Duplex(1 in 1).

  5. Press the Set key to confirm your choice.

  6. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Portrait2 or Landscape1, then press Set to confirm your choice.
    -OR-
    Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Portrait1 or Landscape2, then go to STEP 9.

  7. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Single Sided for the original. If you are using the scanner glass or changed the number of copies in STEP 2, then this step will not appear.

  8. Press the Set key to confirm your choice.

  9. Press Start to scan the original.
    If you placed the original in the ADF, the MFC starts printing.
    -OR-
    If you placed the original on the scanner glass, go to STEP 10.

  10. Place the next page on the scanner glass and press 1 to copy it.

  11. After all the pages of the original have been scanned, press 2 to print.

You can make a double-sided copy of a double-sided original by following these instructions:

  1. Press the Copy key to illuminate it in green.

  2. Place the original(s) face up in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).

  3. Press the Duplex/N in 1 key, then use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Duplex(1 in 1).

  4. Press the Set key to confirm your choice.

  5. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Portrait2 or Landscape1, then press Set to confirm your choice.

  6. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Double Sided for the original.
  7. Press the Set key to confirm your choice.

  8. Make sure that you have put the original in the ADF as shown on the LCD, then press the Start key.

  9. After all the pages of the original have been scanned on one side, turn the other side of the original face up in the ADF and press Start.

Duplex (2 in 1) and Duplex (4 in 1)

  1. Press the Copy key to illuminate it in green.

  2. Place the original(s) face up in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) or face down on the scanner glass.

  3. Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want (up to 99).

  4. Press Duplex/N in 1, then use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Duplex(2 in 1) or Duplex(4 in 1).

  5. Press the Set key to confirm your choice.

  6. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select Portrait1, Portrait2, Landscape1, or Landscape2.

  7. Press Set.

  8. Press Start to scan the original.
    If you placed the original in the ADF, the MFC starts printing.
    -OR-
    If you placed the original on the scanner glass, go to STEP 9.

  9. Place the next page on the scanner glass and press 1 to copy it.

  10. After all the pages of the original have been scanned, press 2 to print.
