"JAM DUPLEX" error appears on the LCD. What should I do?

If a paper jam occurs inside the duplex unit, follow these steps:

 

  1. Pull the paper tray completely out of the printer and check inside the printer.
  2. If paper is not caught inside the printer, check underneath the paper tray.

     

    Do not put the paper tray back in at this point.

     
  3. If the paper is not caught in the paper tray, open the back cover.
  4. Push the gray lever on the left hand side (1) to the right.

    After you have just used the printer, some internal parts of the printer will be extremely hot. Wait for the printer to cool down before you touch the internal parts of the printer.

     
  5. Pull out the jammed paper slowly.
  6. Reset the gray lever on the left hand side (1) back to the original position.
  7. Fully close the back cover.

     

  8. Put the paper tray back in the printer.
