You can store incoming faxes in your Brother machine's memory by turning on the Fax Storage feature.

When Fax Storage is on, your Brother machine will also automatically print backup copies of your faxes as they are received. This is a precautionary feature that ensures you will not lose your messages in the event of a power failure.

Your Brother machine's LCD will indicate when you have a fax stored in memory.

TURNING FAX STORAGE ON

1. Press (Settings).
         
2. Press All Settings.
      
3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Fax.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
       
4. Press Fax.
        
5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Setup Receive.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
       
6. Press Setup Receive.
       
7. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Memory Receive.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
       
8. Press Memory Receive.
      
9. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Fax Storage.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
        
10. Press Fax Storage.
        
11. Press (Home).

TURNING FAX STORAGE OFF

1. Press (Settings).
          
2. Press All Settings.
             
3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Fax.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
      
4. Press Fax.
     
5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Setup Receive.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
     
6. Press Setup Receive.
      
7. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Memory Receive.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
      
8. Press Memory Receive.
          
9. Press Off.
       
10. Press (Home).
