Information for installing software on Windows® 2000 Service Pack3 or 4.

To assist with this update, listed below are three different cases:

Case1:The PE-DESIGN Version 5.0x has already been installed in your Windows 2000
and you are about to install Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 to your Windows 2000.

Case2: Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000 has already been installed
and you are about to install the PE-DESIGN Version 5.0x.

Case3: Both PE-DESIGN Version 5.0x and Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000 have already been installed
to your PC and you are unable to boot Windows 2000 correctly.


Case1
The PE-DESIGN Version 5.0x has already been installed in your Windows 2000
and you are about to install Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 to your Windows 2000.

Step 1: Update your Version 5.0x to Version 5.6:

Please click the Downloads tab to get the latest update version.

Step 2: Install the Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 to your Windows 2000:

You can now install the Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 of Windows 2000 to your PC.


Case2
Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000 has already been installed
and you are about to install the PE-DESIGN Version 5.0x.

 

Step 1: Install Version 5.6 instead of Version 5.0x:



Please click the Downloads tab to get the latest full version.

 

Please do NOT install Version 5.0x from the product CD-ROM.


Case3
Both PE-DESIGN Version 5.0 and Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000 have already been installed to your PC and now you are unable to boot Windows 2000 correctly.


Step 1: To recover from a Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4 lock up problem:

(1) Boot your PC and select the "Safe mode" for Windows.
(2) From the desktop, double click on "My Computer".
(3) Right click on "C:" Drive.
(4) Select "Search..."menu from the popup menu list.
(5) Input "windrvr.sys" as a file name to search.
(6) Click on the "Search..." button.
(7) Right click on the found "windrvr.sys" file.
(8) Select "Delete" menu from the popup menu list.
(9) Click the "Yes" button in the message box.
(10) Reboot your PC as "Normal mode".

Step 2: Install Version 5.6 instead of Version 5.0x:

Please click the Downloads tab to get latest full version.

 

Please do NOT install Version 5.0x from the product CD-ROM.
