Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

1. Open the box.
           
   
              
2. Remove the machine part required for A5 size printing.
                   
   
                
3. Remove the starter toner cartridge.
             
   
              
4. Remove the Quick Setup Guide, which contains initial installation instructions for your Brother machine.
              
   
                    
5. Lift the machine out of the box.
                
   
                   
6. Remove packing foam.
                    
   
                                     
7. Remove the plastic bag.
               
   
                      
8. Remove all blue protective tape.
                
   
                              
9. Open the top cover.
                   
   
   

   Do not touch the red colored parts to avoid the print quality issues.
   

    

    

10. Remove the drum unit.
               
    
           
11. Unpack the toner cartridge.
              
    
               
12. Remove the protective cover.
              
    
            
13. Put the toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place.
                 
    
              
14. Install the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly in the machine.
              
    
               
15. Close the top cover.
          
    
               
16. Plug the power cord into a standard AC power outlet (electrical socket).
                 
17. Press the (Power On/Off) button to turn on the machine.
