I cannot locate my Brother machine from "Printer Setup Utility" or the web browser (Safari) using Mac OS® X.
Resetting the network settings will resolve this issue. We recommend that you print a configuration page before resetting it.
To print the current network settings follow the steps listed below:

Press Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.

Press up or down arrow key until Print Reports appears and press Set or Menu/Set.

Press up or down arrow key until Network Cofig appears and press Set or Menu/Set.

The current network settings will be printed.

Press Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.

Press up or down arrow key until LAN appears and press Set or Menu/Set.

Press up or down arrow key until Factory Reset appears and press Set or Menu/Set.

Now the network settings were reset and the issue was resolved. Please set the network configuration again referring to the network configuration page you printed.
