When receiving a 1 page fax, why does the fax print on 2 pages or a blank sheet ejects afterwards?
If the received data is divided and printed on 2 pages or if you get an additional blank page, your Paper Size setting and/or the Reduction setting may not be correct for the paper you are using.
Adjust the paper size following the instructions listed below:
Press the Menu key.
Press the up or down navigation key until General Setup appears on the LCD and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until Paper Size appears and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until the paper size you are using appears and then press Set.
Press STOP/EXIT.
If you have the optional paper tray,
Press Menu key.
Press the up or down navigation key until General Setup appears on the LCD and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key to choose the tray and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until Paper Size appears and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until the paper size you are using appears and then press Set.
Press STOP/EXIT.
If you are using the fixed reduction feature, check to see if the reduction ratio is set to ON. (We recommend turning the setting to "AUTO REDUCTION" ON.)
To check the reduction setting:
If the FAX mode key is not illuminated in green, press it.
Press the Menu key.
Press the the up or down navigation key until Fax appears on the LCD and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until Setup Receive appears and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until Auto Reduction appears and press Set.
Press the up or down navigation key until ON (or OFF) appears and press Set.
Press STOP/EXIT.
