How do I uninstall MFL Pro Suite for Windows® Me users?


  1. Unplug the printer cable.

  2. Click on START, PROGRAMS, BROTHER MFL PRO Suite.

  3. Click on Uninstall.

  4. Click on START, SETTINGS and PRINTERS and delete the Brother driver & Fax driver.

  5. Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL.

  6. Double click on Add/Remove programs and uninstall "Brother Drivers" (If applicable).

  7. Open "My Computer" and click on TOOLS and FOLDER OPTIONS, then click on the VIEW tab and make sure the option of "SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS" is selected.

  8. Then double click on your C:\ drive and the delete the Brother folder and also delete the Brother folder in C:\Programs Files.

  9. From the C:\ drive, open the Windows folder and look for the TWAIN folder and the Twain_32 folder. You will double click on those folders and delete any folder that begins with brmf.

  10. Also in the "Windows" folder, you will double click on the INF folder and double click on the Others folder. You will delete the files that are related to Brother.

  11. Then open the "Registry" window by clicking on START, Run and type "regedit" and click OK.

  12. From the left column, open the folder called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then the SOFTWARE folder.

  13. From the SOFTWARE folder, delete the "Brother" Key.

  14. Restart your computer.

Uninstall PaperPort®

  1. Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL.

  2. Double click on Add/Remove programs and uninstall PaperPort.

  3. Then go into "My Computer" and delete the "Scansoft documents" folder that is on your C:\ drive and from your C:\Program Files folder (If applicable).

  4. Restart the computer.
