Make sure the person sending the fax has a fax machine capable of sending color faxes.
If one or more of the ink cartridges are empty, the machine cannot receive a color fax. While memory is available, black and white faxes will be received into memory.
The FAX/MFC will stop all print operations such as printing copies, faxes and jobs from the PC when one or more of the ink cartridges are empty.
Brother has developed a Firmware Update Tool that improves the efficiency of the cleaning cycles and alters the programmed time of the cleaning cycles from 11:00 pm to 11:00 am. Improving the efficiency of the cleaning cycles will extend the life of the ink cartridges when there is very little use of the machine or a particular color ink cartridge. > For information on downloading and installing the Firmware Update Tool, click here.
