How many times will my Brother machine automatically redial a busy number?
If you are sending a fax automatically and the intended recipient's line is busy, your Brother machine will automatically redial that number up to three times at after five minutes intervals. If the number is still busy when your Brother machine redials it, you must make another attempt to send to it.
Please note that the Brother machine will automatically redial only if it detects a busy signal on the recipient's line. Redial only works if you dialed from the machine.
Load your document.
Press (Fax).
Press Redial.
Press Fax Start.
In Real Time Transmission the automatic redial feature does not work when you are using the scanner glass.
Redial will change to Pause when you enter a fax number.
If you want to make a second call to a number you recently dialed, you can press History and choose one of the last 30 numbers on the Outgoing Call List:
Press (Fax).
Press (History).
Press the number you want to redial.
Press Send a fax.
Press Fax Start.
