There are deep cuts completely through the mat.

Possible Causes (or Results)

Case 1 : The blade extension from the blade holder is too much.

Case 2 : The cutting pressure (“Cut Pressure”) is incorrect.

Solutions

 

Case1

 

Remove the holder from the carriage, and then adjust the blade extension.

(1) Turn to the left to decrease the blade extension.


(2) Turn to the right to increase the blade extension.

 

 

 

 

Case2

 

 

Adjust the setting for “Cut Pressure” in the pattern preview window of  DesignNCut Manager.

Adjust the setting for “Cut Pressure” in the settings of  DesignNCut Manager.

  • If  the cutting pressure is too high, the mat or blade tip may be damaged. Adjust it to an appropriate setting.
  • Adjustments to the cutting pressure will affect the finished product. Use the same material that the pattern will be cut on to make the adjustments.
