How to choose the BR-Script 3 printer driver (TCP/IP)

Turn the power of the machine ON.

From the Go menu, choose Applications.

Open the Utilities folder.

Double click the Printer Setup Utility icon. (Mac OS® X 10.2.x users, click the Print Center icon.)

Click Add.

(Mac OS® X 10.2.4 to 10.3.x) Choose IP Printing.
(Mac OS® X 10.4) Choose IP Printer.

(Mac OS® X 10.2.4 to 10.3.x) Enter the IP address of the printer into the Printer Address box.
(Mac OS® X 10.4) Enter the IP address of the printer into the Address box.

The Network Configuration List will allow you to confirm the IP address. For more information on how to print the configuration page, see Printing the Network Configuration List.

When specifying the Queue Name, use the value ”brnxxxxxx_p1_at” (where xxxxxx are the last 6 digits of the Ethernet address for wired network).

From the Printer Model pull-down list choose your model. For example, choose Brother MFC-9840CDW BR-Script3.

Click Add and the printer will be available from the Printer List.
