Using the Scan key

Scan to E-mail (PC)

When you choose Scan to E-mail, your document will be scanned and sent directly to the Macintosh you designated on your network. ControlCenter2 will activate the default E-mail application on the designated Macintosh for addressing to the recipient. You can scan a black and white or color document and it will be sent with the E-mail from the Macintosh as an attachment.

Load your document.

Press the Graphic (Scan) key.

Press Bsymbol.utri or Bsymbol.dtri to choose Scan to E-mail.
Press OK.

Press Bsymbol.utri or Bsymbol.dtri to choose PC.
Press OK.

Press Bsymbol.utri or Bsymbol.dtri to choose the destination Macintosh you want to use for E-mailing your document.
Press OK.
If the LCD prompts you to enter a PIN number, enter the 4-digit PIN number for the destination Macintosh on the control panel.
Press OK.
Note Note
For DCP models, press Bsymbol.utri or Bsymbol.dtri repeatedly to enter the first digit of the PIN number. Press Bsymbol.rtri to move the cursor, then use Bsymbol.utri or Bsymbol.dtri to enter the second digit. Repeat until you have entered all four digits of the PIN number. Press OK.

Press Black Start or Color Start.
The machine starts the scanning process.
Note Note
If you want to change between color and black and white scanning, choose color or black and white in the scan type option on the Device Button tab of the ControlCenter2 configuration screen. (See SCAN.)
Scan type depends on the settings of the Device Button tab, Black Start or Color Start do not change the settings.
