Copy an ID Card

You may copy an identification card only to the extent permitted under applicable laws. For more detailed information, see the Product Safety Guide.

  1. Place an identification card face down near the upper left corner of the scanner glass.

    1: 4.0 mm or greater (top, left)

  2. (DCP-L1638W/DCP-L1848W) To change the copy settings, do the following:
    1. Press 设置.
    2. Press image or image to select the [Copy] option, and then press OK.
    3. Press image or image to select the [ID Copy] option, and then press OK.
    4. Press image or image to select the option you want, and then press OK to continue to the next copy setting.
      • [Density]
      • [Quality]
      • [Contrast]
      • [2in1/1in1]
    5. Press 停止/退出.
  3. (DCP-L1628) Press 身份证复印.
  4. (DCP-L1638W/DCP-L1848W) Press 身份证复印/复印选项, press image or image to select the [ID Copy] option, and then press OK.
  5. Press image or image to enter the number of copies you want.

    • (DCP-L1628) You can change copy settings by pressing 复印选项.
  6. Press 启动.
    The machine scans one side of the identification card.
  7. After the machine has scanned the first side, turn over the identification card.

  8. Press 启动 to scan the other side.
