Change the Remote Codes
The preset Remote Activation Code is *51 (*91 for New Zealand). The preset Remote Deactivation Code is #51 (#91 for New Zealand). If you are always disconnected when accessing your External TAD remotely, try changing the three-digit remote codes using the numbers 0-9, *, #.
- Press Settings.
- Press
or 
to select the following: - Select [Fax]. Press OK.
- Select [Setup Receive]. Press OK.
- Select [Remote Codes]. Press OK.
- Select [Remote Codes] again. Press OK.
- Select [On]. Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
- To change the Remote Activation Code, press or to select [Act.Code] and then press OK. Enter the new code. Press OK.
- To change the Remote Deactivation Code, press or to select [Deact.Code] and then press OK. Enter the new code. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
