Configure Active Directory Authentication Using Web Based Management
Active Directory authentication supports Kerberos authentication and NTLMv2 authentication. You must configure the SNTP protocol (network time server) and DNS server configuration for authentication.
- Start your web browser.
- Type "https://machine's IP address" in your browser's address bar (where "machine's IP address" is the machine's IP address).For example:
https://192.168.1.2
- If required, type the password in the Login field, and then click Login.The default password to manage this machine’s settings is located on the bottom of the machine and marked "Pwd". Change the default password by following the on-screen instructions when you first log in.
- In the left navigation bar, click .If the left navigation bar is not visible, start navigating from .
- Select Active Directory Authentication.
- Click Submit.
- Select the Active Directory Authentication menu.
- Configure the following settings:OptionDescriptionRemember User IDSelect this option to save your User ID.Active Directory Server AddressType the IP address or the server name (for example: ad.example.com) of the Active Directory Server.Active Directory Domain NameType the Active Directory domain name.Protocol & Authentication MethodSelect the protocol and authentication method.Get Mail AddressSelect this option to obtain logged on user's email address from the Active Directory server. (Available for the LDAP + kerberos or LDAP + NTLMv2 authentication methods.)Get User's Home Directory
Select this option to obtain your home directory as the Scan to Network destination. (Available for the LDAP + kerberos or LDAP + NTLMv2 authentication methods.)
SSL/TLSSet an SSL/TLS option to use SSL/TLS communication. (Available for the LDAP + NTLMv2 authentication methods.)LDAP Server PortType the port number to connect the Active Directory server via LDAP. (Available for the LDAP + kerberos or LDAP + NTLMv2 authentication methods.)LDAP Search RootType the LDAP search root. (Available for the LDAP + kerberos or LDAP + NTLMv2 authentication methods.) - Click Submit.
