Adjust the brightness of the LCD backlight.

Set how long the LCD backlight stays on.

Set the Home screen to Scan 1-4, Shortcut 1-5, or Auto Start Scan.

When the machine is idle or you press , the LCD will return to the screen you have set.

Set how long the machine must be idle before it goes into Sleep Mode (5-90 minutes). The Sleep Mode setting can reduce power consumption. When the machine is in Sleep Mode, it acts as though it is turned off.

The timer will restart if any operation is carried out on the machine.

The machine will not enter Sleep Mode in the following situations:

• A USB flash drive is inserted into the machine.
• A machine error has occurred.

Select how long the machine must wait before it automatically turns itself off after entering Sleep Mode. The Auto Power Off feature can save power consumption. When this feature is set to Off, you must power off the machine manually. To turn the machine on after the Auto Power Off feature has turned it Off, press .

The timer will restart if you press any buttons or touchscreen.

Auto Power Off will be activated when all of these conditions are met:

• Auto Power Off setting is not set to Off.
• The machine has been in Sleep Mode for more than the preset period.

Set the LCD to display how many pages are scanned and how many are skipped.

Scanning starts automatically using the settings saved as the auto scan shortcut (Shortcut 21) when you place a document in the ADF. It is not necessary to press the Scan Button.

Turn the wireless network connection On or Off.

Set the machine to change automatically for Daylight Saving Time. It will reset itself forward one hour in the spring and backward one hour in the autumn. Make sure you have set the correct date and time in the Date and Time setting.
