Check the needle plate cover.

The needle plate may not be installed properly.

Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the problem.

Situation

For examples,

  • The needle plate cover is not secured causing a sensor issue.
  • The bobbin case could be misaligned causing the needle plate to shift.

There are a couple of reasons why the machine might be giving you an issue.

Step 1: Reinstall the needle plate cover.
Step 2: Check the bobbin case (for misalignment, scratches, etc.), and then attach the needle plate cover again.
