Editing and combining patterns (Design Editor Function)

Select embroidery patterns from those included with the app, edit them, and then combine them.

1. Tap [New].

2. Select the [Embroidery] tab.

3. Tap [Design Editor].

4. Select the size of embroidery frame to be used.

5. Tap [Done].

   • The pattern editing screen appears.
     
     1. Embroidery frame size key
     2. Add one-point pattern key
     3. Add character pattern key

     To undo or redo edits, tap or at the top of the screen.

6. Tap or .

   : Tap to select a one-point pattern.

   : Tap to enter characters. The character you type becomes embroidery data.

7. Select the pattern to be embroidered or type the character to be embroidered.

8. Tap [Done].

   • The pattern appears. To edit a pattern, select it by tapping it.
     

   The pattern editing keys appear at the bottom of the screen.

   

   <When a one-point pattern is selected>

   
   1. Replaces the selected pattern with a different one. (Replacing a pattern)
   2. Moves, rotates or flips the selected pattern. (Moving or rotating a pattern)
   3. Changes the size of the selected pattern. (Resizing a pattern)
   4. Changes the display color (thread color) of the selected pattern. (Changing colors in a pattern)
   5. Deletes the selected pattern. (Deleting a pattern)

    

   <When a character pattern is selected>

   
   1. Replaces the selected pattern with a different one. (Replacing a pattern)

   3. Changes the font of the selected character pattern. (Changing the font in a character pattern)
   4. Changes the display color (thread color) of the selected pattern. (Changing colors in a pattern)

   • To combine patterns, tap or , and then select the pattern to be added.

9. After you finish editing, tap [OK].

10. After editing of all embroidery patterns is finished, hoop the fabric in the embroidery frame, and then adjust the embroidering position. (Hooping the Fabric in the Embroidery Frame, Adjusting the Embroidering Position ([Camera Scan] Function))

Replacing a pattern

The selected pattern can be replaced with a different one.

1. Tap [Change], and then select the new pattern.

   If a character pattern is selected, tap [Edit] and type new characters.

2. Tap [Done].

   • The replacement is finished.

Moving or rotating a pattern

The selected pattern can be moved or rotated.

Tap [Move] to make fine adjustments.

• [Rotate]: Rotates the pattern.
• [Move]: Moves the pattern.
• [Flip]: Flips the pattern vertically or horizontally.

Resizing a pattern

The selected pattern can be resized.

Tap [Size] to make fine adjustments to the one-point pattern.

Changing the font in a character pattern

With a character pattern selected, tap [Font] to change the font of the selected character pattern.

• [Font]: Selects the font.
• [Size]: Changes the size of the characters.

Changing colors in a pattern

Tap [Color] to change the display color (thread color) of the selected pattern.

After selecting the thread spool for the part whose color is to be changed, select a different color from the color palette below it.

1. Use this to change all parts to the same color.
2. Color of thread spool (display color)
3. Thread color number
4. Color palette

Deleting a pattern

Tap [Delete] to delete the selected pattern from the pattern editing screen.
