Machine's settings

You can view information about the machine being connected to the app and change various machine settings.

The machine is shipped from the factory with the latest version of the software installed. We recommend using the latest version so that the machine can be used under optimal conditions.

: App

  1. In the home screen, tap .

  2. Tap the machine name being connected to the app.

    • Various information and settings appear.
  3. Select an item to be changed, and then change it.

  4. Tap [Send].

    • The new settings are sent to the machine.

You can view the following information and change these machine settings:

Connection status

This shows the status of the connection between the machine and app.

[MACHINE INFORMATION]

  1. Machine internal number
  2. Machine name
  3. Bluetooth MAC address
  4. Service count, which is a reminder to take your machine in for regular servicing (contact your authorized Brother dealer for details.)
  5. Total number of stitches embroidered by the machine

Software version information

You can check if the newer software for the machine is available, and update the machine. (Checking and updating the software)

[MACHINE SETTINGS]

  1. Adjust the height of the presser foot. (Changing the presser foot height)
  2. When set to [ON], the machine will automatically cut the threads at the end of stitching with each color. (Automatic thread cutting)
  3. When set to [ON], the machine will automatically trim excess jump stitches. (Jump stitch trimming)

[APP SETTINGS]

  1. When set to [ON], the app’s initial on-screen instructions appear each time you go back to the app’s home screen.
  2. When set to [ON], you can check full range of movement for embroidery before embroidering. (Attaching the Embroidery Frame)

[Reset]

Tap to reset the machine.

After tapping [Send], agree to the confirmation message in order to send data to the machine and delete the following information:

Disconnecting from the machine

To disconnect the app from your machine, tap [Delete] and go to the mobile device’s Bluetooth connection settings screen.

Select the name of the connected machine, and then delete the machine information.

You may need to perform this operation to reset the connection if the connection between the machine and the app fails. (If a communication error occurs)
