Installing the bobbin

Install the bobbin wound with thread. You can begin embroidering immediately without pulling up the bobbin thread by simply inserting the bobbin in the bobbin case and guiding the thread through the slit.

CAUTION
  • Use a bobbin that has been correctly wound with thread, otherwise there is a risk of poor thread tension or injury due to the needle breaking.
  • Before inserting or changing the bobbin, be sure that you have held down the Accept button to lock all buttons for needle moving. Otherwise, injuries may occur if the “Start/Stop” button or any other button is pressed and the machine starts.
  1. Press (Threading position button) to raise the needle.

  2. Hold down (Accept button).

    • The machine enters Needle/thread exchange mode. (Needle/thread exchange mode) The Accept button LED blinks and the "Start/Stop" button LED lights steadily in orange. All buttons except the Accept button are locked.
  3. Open the bobbin cover.

  4. Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case so that the thread unwinds to the left.

    When you wound the bobbin thread with this machine, insert the bobbin with the same orientation as when it was wound. The thread unwinds to the left.

  5. Lightly hold down the bobbin, and then guide the end of the thread around the tab.

    Be sure to hold down the bobbin with your finger and unwind the bobbin thread correctly. Otherwise, the thread may break or the thread tension will be incorrect.

  6. While lightly holding down the bobbin, guide the thread through the slit and lightly pull it.

    By pulling the thread in this way, the thread will enter the tension spring of the bobbin case to apply the appropriate tension to the bobbin thread during embroidering.

  7. While lightly holding down the bobbin, continue guiding the thread through the slit. Then, cut the thread with the cutter.

  8. Reattach the bobbin cover.

  9. Hold down (Accept button).

    • The Accept button LED goes off, and the machine exits Needle/thread exchange mode.
