Tape Cutting Options

In the Options table, these visual patterns represent parts of your label, as illustrated in the Example column.

Small Margin

A margin of 23 mm is printed first, and then each label is printed, leaving a margin of 2 mm before and after the text.
  • When the label length is approximately 23 mm or more

Large Margin

The total margin (laminate margin + label margin) is 25 mm either side of the label.

Chain

  • Select this setting when printing several labels with minimum margins.
  • Feed the tape before using the Tape Cutter, otherwise part of the text may get cut off. Do not try to pull the tape as this may damage the Tape Cassette.
  • A margin of 23 mm is printed first, and then each label is printed, leaving a margin of 2 mm before and after the text.

  3. Cut Position
No Cut

  • Select this setting when printing multiple copies of a label, or when using Fabric Iron-On Tapes or other special tapes that cannot be cut by the Tape Cutter of the Label Printer.
  • Feed the tape before using the Tape Cutter, otherwise part of the text may get cut off. Do not try to pull the tape as this may damage the Tape Cassette.
  • When using the special tapes that cannot be cut by the Tape Cutter of the Label Printer, remove the Tape Cassette from the Label Printer and use scissors to cut the tape.

Special Tape
  • Select this setting when using special tape.

  • When the cut option is set to [No Cut] or [Chain], the cut position is set in the middle of printing area after the last label is printed. When [Start feeding?] appears on the LCD, press OK to feed the tape. Press image to return to the text entry screen.

  • When the cut option is set to [Small Margin], [Large Margin], or [Chain], the message [Cut tape or press Enter to continue.] appears after printing, and the Label Printer enters Cut Pause Mode. By pressing the Tape Cutter Lever, you can cut the tape at the position you set in [Cut Option].
