Connect the Printer to a Barcode Scanner Using Bluetooth
We recommend using a reliable high-quality barcode scanner and checking the barcode scanner specifications before selecting a model.
We recommend using models that support Serial Port Profile (SPP) when scanning via Bluetooth.
- For P-touch Template mode, templates must first be downloaded from a computer to the printer using P-touch Editor.
- Contact the manufacturer for more information on how to use and program a specific barcode scanner model.
- Follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of your Bluetooth-equipped devices, such as barcode scanners, and install any necessary hardware and software.
- The Bluetooth connection settings are saved even after the printer is turned off.
- Press the Menu /
(Select) button to select the [Bluetooth] menu, and then press the
(Feed) / OK button. - Select the [On/Off] menu, and then press the
(Feed) / OK button. Select[On].
appears on the LCD. - Pair the printer with the barcode scanner via Bluetooth.
Press the Menu /
(Select) button, and then select to print the Bluetooth address for connecting to a Bluetooth barcode scanner. If the printer's PIN is required: the default PIN is the last four digits of the product serial number. The serial number is located on the bottom. You can change the PIN in the BRConfiguration Tool.
During pairing, the Bluetooth passkey may appear on the screen. If you selected the Pairing requires user confirmation on printer checkbox in the Bluetooth tab of the Communication Settings dialog box, press the
(Feed) / OK button on the printer. Depending on the specifications of the barcode scanner, the pairing may not be successful if the setting requires key operation of the printer during pairing. In this case, deselect the Pairing requires user confirmation on printer checkbox in the Bluetooth tab of the Communication Settings dialog box.
