Charging Cradle (Optional) Problems

If you experience any problems that you cannot resolve, contact your Brother dealer or Brother customer service for assistance.

Problem Solution
The Charging LED turned off, but the battery has not fully charged. Charging stopped because the battery became too hot or too cold. Wait and try charging the battery later.
The Charging LED flashes in red.
  • The Battery is not charged. Make sure the AC Adapter is plugged into the Charging Cradle.
  • Wipe the Charging Cradle Terminals of the Charging Cradle and the battery with a dry cloth.
  • Replace the battery with a new one.
The printer does not turn on when placed on the Charging Cradle.
  • Place the printer on the Charging Cradle correctly.
  • Make sure that the AC Adapter is correctly connected.
  • Reconnect the AC Adapter.
The printer does not print via LAN cable.
  • Place the printer on the Charging Cradle correctly.
  • Connect the LAN cable correctly.
  • Select the correct driver in the Devices and Printers. If the Charging Cradle is connected, your operating system will also display a copy of the printer driver icon (for example: Brother RJ-:****WB (Copy 1)) in the Devices and Printers. Make sure it is not selected.
