Compatible Printing Apps

You can use your printer as a stand-alone printer or connect it to an Android™ mobile device. To create and print documents directly from your mobile device, install the Brother mobile apps, and then connect your printer to your mobile device via a USB cable. You can also transfer data, such as templates, symbols, and databases created using a computer, to your printer from your mobile device via a USB cable. The cable is sold separately.

Brother offers various free apps for use with your printer, including apps to print directly from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android™ mobile devices, and apps to wirelessly transfer data, such as templates, symbols, and databases created using a computer, to your stand-alone printer.
