Copy and Print Barcodes (with a Barcode Scanner)
Overview
You can create a template which will print a barcode with the same size and protocol as the existing barcode you have scanned.
Example: To print scanned barcodes with multiple protocols and sizes.
Steps to Copy and Print Barcodes
Create barcode data
- 1. Start P-touch Editor.
- 2. From Insert - Bar Code, open Bar Code Properties and then enter data.
- 3. Click File - Save as to save the data file with a name.
Transfer barcode data to the printer
- 1. Connect the printer to the PC with a USB cable.
- 2. In P-touch Editor, click File - Transfer Template to start Transfer Manager.
- 3. Select data from the list and right-click on it to display the menu.
- 4. Select Key Assign and select a key number. The number is a template number for printing.
- 5. Click Transfer to transfer the template data to the printer.
Print by reading barcodes you wish to copy
- 1. Connect a barcode scanner to a USB host connector of the printer.
- 2. Select a template number.
- 3. Scan the barcode to copy.

Scan the print start command (^FF) barcode to start printing.
(It is recommended to print the print start command (^FF) label in advance.)
Note:
Changing the print start command enables starting printing just by scanning a barcode.
