The machine does not print.

Please check the following.

If the issue continues, cancel the print job, and then turn off the machine. Turn the machine on, and then try printing again.

 

  • Is a cable loose?
    Make sure that the cables are securely connected.

  • Is the status indicator blinking?
    An error occurred. Follow the instructions for the error message that appeared on the LCD.

  • Are the top cover and bottom cover firmly closed?
    Press down on the top cover and bottom cover until they click into place.

  • Are the tape cassette or fabric ribbon cassette and ink ribbon cassette installed?
    Make sure that the tape cassette or fabric ribbon cassette and ink ribbon cassette are installed.

  • Has the paper core holder been locked?
    Make sure that the paper core holder is locked. For details, see "Replacing the paper core holder".

  • Is there any remaining ink ribbon, tape or fabric ribbon?
    Make sure that there is remaining ink ribbon, tape or fabric ribbon.
    The remaining quantities of the tape cassettes, fabric ribbon cassettes and ink ribbon cassettes are shown in the main screen on the LCD. The remaining quantities can also be estimated by checking the markings on the tape cassettes, fabric ribbon cassettes and ink ribbon cassettes.

  • Are you printing over a network?
