When I open a CSV file in P-touch Editor, some characters are garbled. (P-touch Editor 5.x)
P-touch Editor does not support UTF-8 encoding.
If you choose UTF-8 encoding when creating CSV files, 3-byte characters (such as the euro sign) may not be displayed correctly.
Follow these steps to change the encoding:
-
Right-click the CSV file and select [Open with] > [Notepad].
-
Click [File] - [Save As].
- Select [ANSI] from the [Encoding] drop-down list and click [Save].
If there are still garbled characters in the file, try changing the file format to Excel (XLSX).
