Load envelopes into my Brother machine
Loading envelopes into the manual feed slot
You can only load envelopes into the manual feed slot.
You can load paper into the manual feed slot one sheet at a time.
To load paper in the machine's manual feed slot, follow these steps:
- Open the manual feed tray.
- Slide the paper guides to fit the envelope you want to use.
- Use both hands to put the envelope into the manual feed slot until you feel its front edge touch the roller.
- Insert the envelope into the manual feed slot with the print side face up.
- Let go of the envelope when you feel the machine automatically feed it slightly into the slot.
- Make sure that the envelope is straight and centered in the manual feed slot. If it is not, it may jam or the print may be skewed.
- Do not put more than one envelope into the manual feed slot at once. Inserting more than envelope into the manual feed slot may cause a paper jam.
