How do I store received faxes in memory?

If you set Fax Storage to ON, your FAX/MFC will hold all incoming faxes in memory until either you opt to print or delete them. The LCD will indicate when you have a fax stored in memory. Additionally, if there is paper in your machine and Fax Storage is enabled, then your FAX/MFC will automatically print each fax as it is received into memory. This is a safety feature to ensure that you will have a backup copy of each fax in case the machine loses power and the messages are lost.

To turn Fax Storage ON, please follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu/Set.
  2. Press the up or down navigation key until FAX appears and press Menu/Set.
  3. Press the up or down navigation key until REMOTE FAX OPT appears and press Menu/Set.
  4. Press the up or down navigation key until FAX STORAGE appears and press Menu/Set. The LCD will prompt you to choose a fax setting.
  5. Use the up or down navigation key to select ON (or OFF if you wish to disable Fax Storage). Press Menu/Set to confirm your choice.
  6. Press Stop/Exit to exit the menu.

If there are faxes in memory when you turn Fax Storage OFF, the LCD will ask if you want to erase the faxes currently stored in memory. If you press 1, all fax data is erased and Fax Storage is turned off. If you press 2, all faxes are not erased and Fax Storage remains on.
