What kind of memory can I use?

This printer has 4 Mbytes of standard memory and one slot for optional expansion memory. The memory can be expanded up to 36 Mbytes by installing a commercially available single in-line memory modules(SIMM).

The SIMM with the following specifications can be installed:

 Pin type
 72 pin
 Height
 25.4 mm(1.00") or less
 Output
 32 bit or 36 bit

 

  • The printer has only one slot for a SIMM upgrade. If you want to increase your printed memory again after you have already installed a SIMM module in the slot, you will need to remove the previously installed SIMM.
  • Addtional memory is useful and may be necessary if you are using the Page Protection function.
