A horizontal line can be a result of some dust or dirt collected on the surface of the print head. This problem can be solved by cleaning the print head.

1. Turn off the P-touch.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the batteries.
3. Open the tape compartment cover.
4. Remove the tape cassette.
5. Wipe up and down gently along the print head using a dry cotton swab.
6. Wipe up and down gently along each roller while rotating them with your finger.
   
   

   Do not touch the print head directly with your bare hands. The print head may be hot.

   You can clean the print head more easily with an optional cleaning cassette (TZ-CL4).
