On my Brother machine I selected "Scan to Network" using the control panel or SCAN key, but I cannot find my Macintosh.

"Scan to Network" function is not supported in macOS. However, with the "Scan to File" function, you will be able to save the scanned image to a folder on a local or network hard disk in your Macintosh.

 

In order to use the "Scan to File" function, open the Brother iPrint&Scan and configure scanner settings for the scan from the control panel of the machine.
