How do I reset the printer to the default settings?

You can reset the internal memory of your printer when you want to clear all saved label files, or in the event the printer is not operating correctly.

All text, format settings, option settings and stored label files are cleared when you reset the printer.  Language and unit settings will also be cleared.

To reset the printer, perform the following procedure.

  1. Turn the printer off.

  2. Press and hold the Power button (Power) button and the Feed and Cut button (Feed and Cut) button for about three seconds until the Power indicator (Power) indicator lights in orange and the Label indicator (Label) indicator blinks in green.

  3. While holding the Power button (Power) button, press the Feed and Cut button (Feed and Cut) button as follows:
    • Press 2 times to reset all customized settings and clear the data except all of the transferred data from the computer, registered programs, and the contents in the file memory.
    • Press 4 times to clear all of the transferred data from the computer, registered programs, and the contents in the file memory.
    • Press 6 times to delete all data and reset the printer settings to the factory settings except the Wi-Fi® settings.
  4. Release the Power button (Power) button.
